👤Who This Is For

Teams connecting their audio mixing console to Tally for monitoring and control.

🎯What You Will Accomplish

  • Connect your audio console to Tally

  • Run basic control commands (mute, volume)

  • Understand what's available for your specific console

📝Prerequisites

🛠Step-by-Step Setup

1Select Console Type

In Equipment settings, choose your console brand from the dropdown.

2Enter Connection Details

Enter the console's IP address. The port number is filled in automatically for your brand.

3Connect and Verify

Connect and confirm the console shows as online in the status panel.

4Test Basic Controls

Try the available commands:

  1. Mute/unmute a channel

  2. Adjust a channel's volume level

  3. Check the main output mute status

  4. Load a saved mix setup (if supported by your console)

5Check What's Available

Look at the capability notes in the app to see which features are fully supported, partially supported, or not available for your console.

Note: Behringer/Midas consoles (X32/M32) have the most complete support. Allen & Heath and Yamaha consoles have fewer remote control features available. Loading saved mixes remotely isn't possible on most consoles — use the console's built-in controls for that.

🔐Advanced Details Show / Hide

The connection details for each console brand:

  • Behringer/Midas X32/M32: UDP port 10023

  • Allen & Heath SQ/dLive: UDP port 51326

  • Yamaha CL/QL: UDP port 8765

Each brand uses a different communication protocol with different capabilities. "Scene recall" (loading a saved mixer setup) is only available on some Behringer/Midas consoles. Allen & Heath and Yamaha consoles have more limited remote control due to protocol restrictions.

State updates (like seeing volume changes) may take 1-2 seconds to sync — this is normal network behavior, not an error.
