First Equipment Setup Wizard
Quick Start
Open the equipment section and click Start Setup Wizard
Enter the IP address of your ATEM switcher
Add your streaming software (OBS, vMix, etc.) and any other equipment
Click Save and restart the app

Prerequisites
Step-by-Step Setup
Open the equipment settings and click Start Setup Wizard.
Enter the IP address of your ATEM switcher (e.g., 192.168.1.240).
Select your streaming software (OBS, vMix, or hardware encoder) and enter the connection details.
If your team uses Bitfocus Companion for button control, enter the address and port (default: 8888).
Add any other equipment you use: HyperDeck, ProPresenter, audio mixer, PTZ cameras.
Note: You can skip optional items and add them later from the Equipment tab.
Review everything and click Save.
Restart Tally to apply the new settings.
Validation Checklist
Common Issues and Fixes
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Wrong port numbers | Different equipment uses different ports | Check your device's documentation for the correct port |
| Device not found | Tally computer can't reach the device | Make sure both are on the same network; try pinging the device IP |
| Settings disappear after restart | File permission issue | Check that Tally can save to its settings folder |
| Too many devices showing errors | Equipment you're not using is still enabled | Turn off integrations you're not using |
Rollback / Fallback
Reopen the setup wizard.
Remove optional devices.
Save a simple configuration with just your essential equipment.
